A Sandy Soiree evolved after photographer and gallery owner, Pamela
Montague introduced a line of blank greeting cards at her gallery located
in coastal Rehoboth Beach, Delaware in the spring of 2004. It was a
way for her to share her images of the Delaware coastline and her Sand
Scripts, in the form of a card. Well, that didn't seem special enough.
So Montague searched high and low for recycled papers and began the
creative process of adding a very natural texture to the card. SAND!!
It's everywhere, it's in the image, it's in the beach bag, it's in her
pockets and it's all over her dog, Stella after a day at the beach.
So why not share it? On a card.
Searching the dunes, she found the most luxurious and sparkling sand.
It was wind washed and topped the dune, soft as silk. As you know, sand
moves with the wind and that excited her even more, it is much like
one's very own creative spirit, a familiar character of an on-the-move,
mercurial Gemini.
After a long summer season of retail in a resort town, some one noticed.
In fact, a happy couple planning their wedding noticed. This plucked
Pamela's heartstrings and set her off on a fantastic journey. This was
the motivation that created A Sandy Soiree. Before she knew it, she
was diving into the wedding market with a brand new product. A product
created from the heart.
Pamela Montague, photographer and artist, designs your very special
stationery for your very special event. She is also the sand connoisseur.
Sharon Montague, Pamela's mother, keeps her on her toes and doesn't
let her slack in any department. She provides solutions and repairs.
Isn't that just like a mother? She also loves good music and her dog,
Cassidy.
Stella Montague, Pamela's faithful four-legged, beach strolling companion
(and shadow) reminds her daily of how simple life really should be.
Stella is a star. Her favorite color is blue.
Jennifer Bornschuer,"Half-Step",her honey calls her. However,
we know her as always "right in step" and she always steps
up when it is time to produce (as long as she has a good cup of coffee
close by and a glass of wine at quitin' time). She resides in Ocean
City, MD and combs the beach for sparkly sand and shells with her two
dogs, Sampson and Gretchen. She is Pamela's assembly-extra ordinaire
and great friend.
Please do not hesitate to call us, when you have discovered the beauty
of the beach. When that happens, I am sure that you will want to share
it with all that you know.
